Chaperones are essential to a successful field trip. Mid-America Science Museum requires a ratio of at least 1 adult for every 10 students. These adults are expected to stay with and interact with the students to which they are assigned and help make their experience a fun and educational one. Chaperones are responsible for ensuring that students abide by all rules and regulations of the Mid-America Science Museum. Disruptive or unsafe behavior will not be permitted and may result in the group being asked to leave. Please select chaperones that will guide by example and have them assigned to a group of 10 students prior to your arrival. Due to the important role chaperones play during the field trip, all required chaperones are free of charge. Bus drivers are also free of charge. Prices are subject to change. Register early to guarantee prices.

Please label each child’s lunch and pack all lunches in a large box (provided by you) with the school’s name and classroom number clearly written on each box. Upon your arrival, you will receive specific storage information from a staff member. Chaperones are responsible for making sure your group leaves the eating area clean. Food, gum, drinks and/or candy are only allowed in the outside picnic areas or in the Snack Bar area. Please mention that you will be brown bagging your lunch when making your reservation.
