Dino-Lites Shine for the Holidays at

Mid-America Science Museum

Hot Springs, AR. (Oct. 2nd, 2018) – Mid-America Science Museum is excited to announce its first ever Dino-Lites holiday lighting display to be hosted on the Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek. Community organizations and businesses are invited to decorate dinosaurs with up to 300 watts of LED holiday lights to celebrate science and the first winter with the Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek at Mid-America Science Museum.

The Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek is the state’s first outdoor dinosaur exhibit located on the museum’s 21-wooded acre wooded acres. Lighting displays will be judged by visitors to the museum who will select their favorite display.

Sign-up and registration for Dino-Lites are due no later than Thursday, November 1st and will require a $50 entry fee. The most popular Dino-Lite display will win a $500 prize to be announced at this year’s Noon Year’s Eve celebration on Saturday, December 29th at Mid-America Science Museum.   

Lighting displays will be stationed at each of the museum’s 11 dinosaur vignettes found along the Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek exhibit. Dinosaur displays will be chosen by museum staff and will be displayed beginning at 5:00 pm Friday, November 23rd.

There is no additional cost to view Dino-Lites on the Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek at Mid-America Science Museum—it is included with general admission. Dino-Lites evening exhibit times are subject to change based on weather conditions and public safety.
