2022 Dino Lights
Dino-Lites Returns to Mid-America Science Museum, November 25th!
On Friday, November 25th at 5PM, the Mid-America Science Museum will host the annual lighting of its Dino-Lites display.
Running Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 7 PM through December, Dino-Lites brings together community and business organizations to decorate the 18 dinosaurs along the Oaklawn Foundation’s Dino-Trek with festive lighting designs for guests to visit and vote for their favorite, with the winner receiving $500.
“Dino-Lites is an opportunity for locals and visitors to experience one of the most magical museum events of the holiday season,” said Mid-America Science Museum CEO, Diane LaFollette. “Seeing these organizations bring so much joy and creativity to the community and the museum with their lighting designs is a treat you don’t want to miss.”
The Oaklawn Foundation’s Dino-Trek is Arkansas’s first and only permanent dinosaur exhibit. Located on 21 wooded acres surrounding the museum, the Dino-Trek allows visitors to learn about the rise and fall of dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Triceratops as they progress chronologically down the paved trail from the Triassic period through the Cretaceous period.
