Dog Days of Science Science Society

The summer heat is settling in so Mid-America Science Museum's August Science Society will be all about the Dog Days of Summer! Featuring a special show about the Dog Star Sirius in the Oaklawn Foundation Digital Dome Theater. Learn the science behind the Dog Days of Summer and more during this monthly Science Society event! We will be grilling out and there will be fun summer themed jams by Courier Coleman! Remember Science Society is for adults 21 and older only. $5 admission plus suggested donations for food and drinks! Refreshments courtesy of Tri- Lakes Liquor!

Girls in STEM - Sound Engineering Workshop

Girls in STEM workshops continue at Mid-America Science Museum with an all-new workshop on Saturday, August 4th that will be all about "Sound Engineering"!

All workshops begin at 10 am in the Alliance Rubber Company Tinkering Studio and are $5, plus general admission. Parents welcome! Girls in STEM is for girls only ages 6 and older. For more information call 501-767-3461 or email info@midmamericamuseum.org.

AC/DC Science Society

Join Mid-America Science Society for another fun evening of drinks, food and science fun for adults during AC/DC Science Society. We will not only be celebrating Nikola Tesla's birthday, but we will also have fun adult science experiments, and caged-lightning performances happening in the Tesla Theater throughout the evening. Plus some wonderful music, refreshments courtesy of Tri- Lakes Liquor, and food by Jimmy John's

Science Society events are strictly for ages 21 and older. Cost is only $5, plus suggested donations for food and drinks. Plus raffle tickets will be available for a special limited edition Led Zeppelin-inspired Cassini Mission poster from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory!

Summer Dino Camp

Summer Day Camps begin Monday, June 25th with Dino Camp! This week-long camp will use the newly opened Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek to help campers learn about paleontology, geology, and paleoecology. Campers will also dig up their own 3D printed dinosaur skeletons!

Food courtesy of Stubby's BBQ and refreshments by Tri-Lakes Liquor. Adults ages 21 and older are invited to indulge in food, adult beverages and fun hands-on science for the big kids! Tour the Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek and have fun with friends, network, or just enjoy the museum. Science Society is $5 per person. Donations are accepted for food and beverages. All proceeds benefit Mid-America Science Museum's educational programming. Ages 21 and older only.
