Let us help you make your child’s birthday special! Parties must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance to guarantee preferred dates and times.

Ever wanted to be a scientist & perform fun & exciting science experiments? In this birthday party, throw on a lab coat & some goggles & join our museum scientist as they help you through the sticky process of slime creation!

Create something that does something! Projects are welcome to take home with guests. The possibilities are limitless with our Tinker birthday package!

FAQs
What do I need to do when I arrive for my party?
Check in with Guest Services upon your arrival to the museum. Payment of remaining balances are due upon arrival. Guest Services will let Educators know you are ready to party!
How long does admission last for party guests?
Admission is included for all day. Guests can arrive at any time on Saturdays from 9-5 or Sundays from 1-5. All guests must check in with Guest Services for admission.
Who is included in the 25 guest count?
All adults and children over 2 years of age are included in the guest count. The birthday child, 2 parents/guardians, and any immediate siblings are not included in the guest count.
What if more than 25 guests attend my party?
Guest Services will keep a count of guests as they arrive for your party. If the guest count is exceeded, each additional guest will cost $10 for admission.
What if my party guest has a membership to the museum?
Party guests can present their membership card for admission to the museum and would not be counted in the guest count. Individual(s) named on the membership card must be present for admission.
What paper products are included in my themed party package?
The museum provides unlimited blue and orange paper plates, themed paper plates, napkins, cups, and plastic forks.
What decorations are provided for themed parties?
The museum provides a themed “Happy Birthday” banner, ceiling decoration, and materials for experiments as needed.
Can I bring my own decorations?
Yes! Balloons filled with regular air and non-permanent decorations are welcome and encouraged! The museum does not allow helium, confetti, or pinatas.
Can I bring outside food and drinks?
Yes! Please keep all food and drinks inside the party room.
When can I access the birthday party room?
Parents/guardians can access the room 15 minutes before their scheduled party time to decorate.
When do I need to be out of the party room?
We ask that all items be clear from the room within 15 minutes of your scheduled end time for staff to clean the room between parties.
Where do I park my vehicle during the party?
All vehicles must be parked in visitor parking for the duration of the party. Guests can access the employee parking lot to unload food/drinks or decorations, or to drop off/pick up any guests with mobility concerns. After loading or unloading, vehicles must be parked in the visitor parking lot.
