K Through 12th Grade (45 mins)
Each of our K-12th grade workshops are NGSS aligned.
Build it. Launch it. Learn it.
Grades: K - 12
Fuel curiosity with a hands-on STEM workshop that brings rocketry, physics, and engineering to life. Students explore problem-solving as they design, build, and launch their own rockets. Let your students launch into learning with excitement that truly takes off!
Truss Me, I’m An Engineer
Grades: 3 - 5/strong>
This activity is where creativity meets critical thinking. Students will build and compare two bridge styles, perform strength tests, record data, and redesign based on real-world testing. Perfect for introducing engineering principles such as tension and compression.
Ready, Set, Code!
Grades: K - 12
Introduce your K-12 students to coding with this engaging robotics workshop! Using Ozobot’s color-coding programs, students build problem-solving collaboration and computational thinking skills - no experience needed!
Bones & Beaks
Grades: 5 - 7
Uncover the secrets of the food web - one pellet at a time! Students will dissect real owl pellets to investigate what owls eat and how energy flows through ecosystems. Students will explore trophic levels and the role of owls in maintaining ecological balance all while building skills in observation, inference, and scientific analysis.
Wild Weather Lab
Grades: 5 - 12
Students will design and build simple structures - then put them to the test against high-force winds. This workshop is a powerful way to bring engineering concepts to life through critical thinking, collaboration, and the design process.
From Forest to Classroom
Grades: 2 - 4
Bring science to life with an interactive environmental and wildlife biology workshop tailored to your students’ grade level and the season! This session explores Arkansas’s diverse ecosystems, native species, and conservation topics - connecting classroom standards with real-world science.
SCIENTOTS WORKSHOPS
Pre-K Through 1st Grade. (30 mins)
Each workshop features a story and STEM activity combining science and literacy.
Three Little Engineers
The Three Little Pigs
Through storytelling, creativity, and simple experimentation, students will make predictions, build and test different house designs, and learn about materials, structure, and cause and effect. It’s the perfect blend of literacy and STEM, sparking curiosity and critical thinking in your youngest learners.
Creature Feature: How Animals Survive
What If Something Wants to Eat You by Steve Jenkins
Students will discover how animals adapt to habitats like deserts, oceans, and forests, use what they’ve learned to design their very own animal, and draw and label special features that help their creature thrive in a chosen habitat. Perfect for combining science skills with creativity, this workshop builds observation and critical thinking in a fun and imaginative way.
A Rainbow of My Own
A Rainbow Of My Own by Don Freeman
In this vibrant workshop, students will explore how rainbows form through simple, age-appropriate science activities, create their own rainbow using light, color, and art, and experiment with prisms, flashlights, and translucent materials to see how light transforms. This playful, literacy-linked experience blends imagination and science, making it perfect for curious young minds.

Space Labs
Live presentations of the following NGSS-aligned theater shows will be tailored to your class curriculum by our expert Digital Dome operator.
In My Backyard
Grades: Pre K - 3rd | 20 minutes
Students will explore the science available in their own backyard as they learn about the relationship between the Sun and the rotation of the Earth, the impact of the Earth’s land and water bodies on weather, and seasonal time cycles.
Space Explorers
Grades: 4 - 7 | 25 minutes
This class begins on Earth as the students examine the impact geological events such as continental drift and volcanic eruptions on the four “spheres”; atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, and biosphere. Traveling away from Earth through the solar system, students will study how these events impact other planets, moons, and the Sun; and how gravity impacts the relationship between these bodies.
Starships and Stars
Grades: 8 - 12 | 30 minutes
Students become futuristic astronauts and go on a tour of our solar system to learn about planets and the coming challenges of interplanetary travel.
Feature Films
Explore the night sky and discover the latest in astronomy during these immersive shows. Suitable for 5th-12th grades.
